I think it’s a feral cat.

Thank you very much for nominating me. I no longer accept awards on my blog but I really appreciate the time you have taken to nominate me.
You are most welcome. I understand your position on awards but just wanted to let you know that your work is appreciated. Enjoy your day.
Thank you Vanessa.
That’s a beautiful and rare sight – where is it? In a wildlife park? I once saw one in the Highlands and was sure it was on Harris but folks are telling me there never were any on Harris. It was way back in the late ’70s anyway…
It was at Maughold lighthouse. I called it a wildcat as I presumed it was feral but it could even be domestic.
It does look like a wildcat but I believe it depends on whether the markings form an ‘M’ on its forehead to be a true wildcat. I suppose we could google whether you have wildcats over there or not? Well spotted anyway…
I checked my other photos and the M is quite faint and broken compared to my cat Molly’s M. In fact, according to the internet, Molly resembles more of a wildcat than the one in my photograph.
Of course, the problem is, that they freely interbreed with domestic cats and that waters the strain down…
Whoa wouldn’t want to come across him during a walk!
I’ll admit, I was a little scared!
